Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery
The Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery is a robotic surgical system developed and manufactured by Stryker Corporation. The Mako system is used for total knee, total hip, and partial knee replacement surgeries. The system uses a robotic arm to assist the surgeon in performing the procedure. It uses pre-operative planning software to create a personalized surgical plan and then guides the surgeon’s instrumentation during the procedure.
