The Da Vinci Surgical System is a robotic surgical system developed and manufactured by Intuitive Surgical. The Da Vinci system is used in a variety of procedures such as urologic, gynecologic, general, and cardiothoracic surgeries. The system uses miniature instruments and a 3D camera to provide a high-definition view of the operative site. The surgeon controls the system with a console, manipulating the robotic arms to perform the procedure.
